Before Luke Buchanan began his job as a real estate salesman, he
worked in advertising. After graduating as a double major student from Tulane University,
Luke Buchanan accepted an offer to work for an advertising/ public relations
firm in Santa Monica, California. The experience was good for Luke
Buchanan, who got his first real taste of working with individuals in a
corporate setting. However, Luke Buchanan decided it was not where he wanted to
remain.
Luke Buchanan decided to move back to Washington, D.C.
where he was raised. He felt he had a
much larger professional network of friends and family back home. Luke Buchanan returned to Washington,
D.C. and in April of 2013, received his
license as a real estate salesman in Washington,
D.C. Luke commented that the marketing
experience he gained in Santa Monica smoothed
his transition into residential real estate in Washington.
Luke says, “the most important part of selling a property is matching
the buyers needs with an appropriate house.
Selling a home is not like selling a pair of shoes there is a lot more
planning and consideration involved.”
As of 2013, Luke Buchanan has been a member of the American Marketing
Association and Dentsu Alumni Worldwide for one year, and a member of the Sigma
Alpha Epsilon Alumni for two years.
When Luke Buchanan is not
working as a real estate salesman he is out playing sports or updating his
blog. Luke Buchanan likes to stay active by skiing, playing tennis or
running. He sets goals for himself and
