It is
clear, when you look at his life, that Luke Buchanan has always been very
serious about reaching out to help those in need. Even during his earliest
years, Luke Buchanan would take time out from his studies to spend time
volunteering, and it has continued on into adulthood.
Luke
Buchanan initially became interested in outreach when he spent time working
with the Spanish Education Development
Center. This center,
based in Washington DC, provides daycare for underprivileged
children. Education, and getting an early start, is such an integral part of
growing up, and Luke Buchanan
wants to make sure that each and every person, regardless of income, is able to
take advantage of our great education system.
The
desire to keep volunteering his time only grew as Luke Buchanan became older.
When Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, Luke Buchanan participated in the
rebuilding of neighborhoods by working with Habitat for Humanity, an
organization that builds new homes for those who have lost their own. It was
perhaps during this time that Luke Buchanan became interested in real estate.
But, Luke
Buchanan knows that an education and a home are nothing if there
is not a healthy planet to live on. This is why he spent time working with
Event 350 while he was in New Orleans going to school at Tulane University.
Event 350's overall mission is to lower the atmosphere's carbon count to 350
ppm.
Now, Luke
Buchanan still volunteers his time in his home city of Washington DC,
but he also helps people in another way by helping them buy a new home. This
well-respected real estate agent is dedicated to helping those in need as well
as his clients.
